 Grow 26 Orchards along the RailCorridor at 1.1 km apart from Tanjong PagarWoodlands.

A new and true Orchard Road will evolve.  Many insects, birds and animals will come to pollinate the flowers and eat the tropical fruits.   Bio-diversity is ensured.
    These Orchards of tropical fruits are placed in alphabet order for easy finding by foreign and local visitors.  LED floodlights will realize a wonderful Singapore Orchards by Night.  Otherwise, vistors can use LED torchlights at night.  This will be new real Orchard Road!

Youths haven’t seen some of these fruits growing in nature.  Visitors can see and taste them at each of these Orchards.

Let Landscape Contractors with experienced staff bid for 5 or 6 plots each to supply skilled supervisors and workers and also to procure the grafted trees, manure, hods and hoes.  Do so soon as the Orchards will take some time to bear fruits.

Let Volunteer Groups help plant them.  Gardeners, farmers, naturalists, environmentalists, teachers and students can register at Community Centres, Resident Committees, Polytechnics and Schools.  They can also pick and sell ripe fruits to visitors, with LED torchlights if at night.

I can provide advice on the fruits, having seen or grown up with some of them when young. You may climb a guava tree as the branches are supple to bend but not a mango tree having brittle branches which break easily to cause a nasty fall.  Soursop trees seasonally have huge caterpillars 2.5cm long with girth of a 20cent coin that will turn into big Atlas moths.  All fruits are interesting.

This 26Orchards@RailCorridor will be a big plus for Tourism as tropical fruits are grown along the one and only historic  former Railway.  By sunlight, moonlight, starlight or ledlight visitors young and old can eat fragrant and many sweet tropical fruits.
